Who am I?
The “MBackdrops” website, available at https://mbackdrops.pl, is run by Magdalena Rączka, a sole proprietor. Below you will learn how we process your data.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, it will be possible to choose to save your name, email address and website address in cookies, so that when you write further comments, the above information will already be conveniently completed. Cookies expire after one year.
If you visit the login page, we will create a temporary cookie for the purpose of checking whether your browser accepts cookies. It does not contain any personal information and will be deleted when the browser is closed.
When you log in, we additionally create several cookies needed to save your login information and selected screen options. Login cookies expire after two days, and screen options after a year. If you check the “Remember me” option, the login will expire after two weeks. If you log out of your account, your login cookies will be deleted.
If you modify or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal data, simply pointing to the ID of the article just edited. It expires after 1 day.
Store
When you browse our site, we will collect the following information:
- Viewed products: we will use this information to, for example, show you recently viewed products
- Location, IP address and browser: we will use this data to estimate taxes and shipping costs
- Shipping address: we will ask you to enter your address so that we can, for example, estimate shipping costs before you place your order and ship your order!
We will also use cookies to track the contents of your shopping cart as you browse our site.
Orders
When you buy from our store, we will ask you to provide information including your name, payment and shipping addresses, email, phone, payment or card information and optional account information: username and password. We will use this information for the following purposes:
- Sending information about your account and orders
- Responding to your requests, including returns and complaints
- Payment processing and fraud prevention
- Create an account in our store
- Meeting legal obligations, such as calculating taxes
- Improving the store’s offerings
- Sending marketing information if you agree to receive it
If you create an account, we will keep your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used for future orders.
In general, information is retained for as long as we need the information for the purposes for which we collect and use it, and we are not legally obligated to continue to retain it. For example, we keep order information for 5 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes name, email and addresses.
We will also store comments and feedback if you choose to write them.
Payments
We accept payment via PayPal and Przelewy24. During payment processing, some of your data will be transferred to PayPal or Przelewy24, respectively, including information required to process or handle payments, such as order value and billing information.

Comments and feedback
When a site visitor leaves a comment or feedback about a product, we collect the data visible in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser signature as an aid to spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (the so-called hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.
Contact form and email
Any visitor to the site can use either the contact form or the e-mail address to send a message to the site’s administrators. Sending a message through our form or directly by e-mail involves providing us with the sender’s e-mail address and other data contained in the message, such as name, surname, indirectly employer information.
In addition, the use of the contact form on the website involves providing some technical information to the provider of the reCaptcha service, which is designed to protect the site from bots and spammers. Learn more in Google’s privacy policy.
Newsletter
Every visitor to the site has the opportunity to sign up for our dedicated mailing list, which we call the MBackdrops Club. When you sign up, we collect the data you see on the sign-up form and send it to our service provider MailerLite (see their privacy policy for more information about the data MailerLite collects).
Media
If you are a registered user and upload images to the site (e.g., giving feedback or adding comments), you should avoid uploading images with EXIF location tags. Visitors to the site can download and read full location data from images on the site.
Embedded content from other sites
Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves analogously to how if a user visited a specific site directly.
Sites may collect information about you, use cookies, attach additional third-party tracking systems, and monitor your interactions with embedded material, including tracking your interactions with embedded material if you have an account and are logged into that site.
Who from our team has access?
Our team members have access to the information you give us. E.g., store administrators and staff have access to:
- Order details, such as items purchased, order date, shipping address and
- Customer information such as name, email address and billing and shipping information.
Our team has access to this information to handle orders, returns and offer support.
Who do we share data with?
We share information with third parties that help us process orders and provide services:
- FreshMail – handling transactional messages
- MailerLite – handling marketing messages
- Przelewy24 – payment service
- PayPal payment processing
- Automattic – protection against spam
- Google – protection against spam
How long do we keep your data?
If you leave a comment, its content and metadata will be stored indefinitely. As a result, we are able to recognize and approve subsequent comments automatically, without sending them for moderation each time.
For users who have registered on our website, we also store personal information entered in the profile. Any user can review, correct, or delete his or her personal information at any time (except for the username, which cannot be changed). Site administrators can also view and modify this information.
What rights do you have to your data?
If you have a user account or have added comments on this site, you may request a file with an exported set of your personal information in our possession, including all of that provided by you. You can also request that we delete all of your personal information in our possession. This does not apply to any data that we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons.
